Karen has worked for years with individuals to regain control and implement long-term change.

Karen earned her Master of Social Work (MSW) from Fort Hays State University, with a focus in clinical social work. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Kansas. Karen completed advanced studies at the University of Hawaii at Manoa in the area of special education.  

Karen brings to Maverick Insight Counseling her expertise in how stress, grief, mood disorders, neurodiversity, and trauma can impact a developing mind. Karen works with children, teens, and adults.

Karen is a member of the Association for Contextual Behavior Science (ACBS) and the International Association for Sandtray Therapy (IAST).
