Nathen has worked with teens and adults in community mental and behavioral health for several years. Nathen earned a Master of Education (M. Ed.) in Counseling in 2022 from Wichita State University.

Nathen offers counseling to individuals who struggle with anxiety, depression, anger, or other issues impacting a person's ability to function well and feel empowered in their daily life. Nathen uses his expertise in a variety of theories including cognitive behavioral therapy and existentialism, to provide person-centered treatment.

Nathen was inspired to establish Maverick Insights Counseling after seeing the negative effects of closed-minded, rigid treatment on adolescents and adults. Nathen strives to offer support and to think differently about issues outside of mainstream ideals. Nathen believes that sometimes a person just needs a non-judgmental ear to help them walk through life and offer support.
